Hi, I’m Shannon Kelly.

I’m a semi-retired amateur standup comedian, corporate marketing manager, hopeless romantic, queen of ADHD, and I’m REALLY REALLY into the "woo woo" of it all.

Born and raised in Florida, I moved to Atlanta, GA in September of 2021 during the Covid pandemic… with an emotionally abusive and controlling ex.

After leaving an entire city worth of community behind, and having little in person contact with family—in order to keep the peace with my ex—I started to lose my mind.

Fast forward—he was going to propose, I knew there was no way in hell I’d survive a life with him and we split in February of 2022.

I threw myself back into self-improvement routines and habits. I worked with a health and wellness coach and a spiritual coach. I found my grounding and started to piece myself back together.

I began going back out to open mics, I made friends, and I started to finally see what Atlanta had to offer.

Inspired by my experience with being coached—I researched and found that I could become a coach, too.

After learning a ton about the complexities of the human motivation to change, In the spring of 2022, I received a certificate from Emory University in health and wellness coaching.

Then like magic, I was recruited to a global company right down the street, where I’ve been able to travel and meet new work friends.

I still face life’s struggles—like a few more failed relationships, my grandfather passing, and my mom being diagnosed with breast cancer.

And I’m definitely far from perfect, while I constantly strive to strike balance with my symptoms of ADHD, anxiety and depression…

But, I feel like I found the tools that guided me through the darkness… to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

And now, I’m here to help you find yours.

COACHING IS

  • Building a trusting relationship and strong rapport with you through active listening and providing a safe, non-judgmental space.

  • Using motivational interviewing techniques to identify your reasons for change and the benefits of lifestyle modifications.

  • Collaborating with you to establish S.M.A.R.T. goals based on your dreams and aspirations regarding health, career, relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

  • Helping you identify obstacles regarding your habit and behavior modifications, emotional and psychological barriers, socioeconomic and environmental challenges, lack of resources and knowledge, and any trouble sustaining long-term lifestyle changes.

  • Brainstorming and collaborating with you to creatively navigate and overcome identified obstacles and hurdles.

  • Supporting you by providing supplemental education, guidance, and relevant tools like scholarly articles, meditation exercises, and breathing techniques.

  • Empowering you to make informed decisions regarding your goal-setting and lifestyle changes.

  • Fostering accountability through regular check-ins, tracking tools, setting milestones and rewards, and encouraging seeking community support.

  • Celebrating your wins and successes through mindfulness and self-reflection

COACHING IS NOT

  • Therapy: While coaching may address emotional well-being, it focuses on goal setting, action plans, and forward momentum rather than therapeutic interventions.

  • Medical Treatment: Coaches don't diagnose or treat medical conditions; they complement medical care by guiding lifestyle changes.

  • Consulting: Coaches don't provide expert advice; they empower clients to discover their own solutions.

  • Quick Fix: Coaching requires commitment and effort; it's not a shortcut or instant solution.

  • Personal Training: It's not solely about fitness; coaching encompasses broader aspects of well-being.

  • Judgmental: Coaches are non-judgmental allies, not critical evaluators.

  • Mental Health Care: Coaches aren't trained mental health professionals; they focus on holistic wellness.

  • Passive: Coaching involves active participation, not a passive recipient of guidance.

  • Predetermined Solutions: Coaches don't have pre-set answers; they help clients find their unique paths.

  • Substitute for Professional Help: It complements, but doesn't replace, medical or mental health care when needed.
